Goosebumps.
There’s always that one DJ that every fan has been waiting for years to see live. And when you finally do, goosebumps is the only word to describe the experience! It's this tingly sensation that runs up your forearms and neck and for most, this usually occurs during the intro to a DJ’s set.
I’ve always made it clear that this is my favorite part of the concert as it pumps you up in anticipation of the bangerz you're about to hear.

I had the pleasure of experiencing this feeling for the first time when I saw Don Diablo at New City Gas in Montreal. He is one of the best Future House producers and I had been doing everything in my power to get festivals and clubs to bring him to Canada (writing on Facebook posts and messaging companies).
I was willing to drive hours just to go see him. I can honestly say it wasn't only the best concert I’ve ever been to, but also one of the best nights of my life.
CID opened for Don Diablo that night. So when the 10-second countdown began to introduce Don, the whole club began to scream for their lives. He started his set with his VIP mix of his latest release, Children of a Miracle causing chaos once the drop came on!
I was able to catch it on video. Please excuse the quality but I couldn't help but spaz out when he came on stage.
His set was special because it was his first solo performance at New City Gas and lasted 3 hours long. 3 HOURS. Every single second of it was priceless. Don played most of his classics and he also mixed in a few unreleased ID’s.
He even shared a moment with the crowd by sitting on the ledge and talking about how much he’s had to deal with. Don spoke about recently losing his father due to cancer and as he became emotional so did the crowd. I’m pretty sure most people shed a tear during this segment.
Don Diablo always lifts people’s spirits by cheering on people of all sorts of cultures and ethnicity, and it was a dream come true to be able to share that special moment with him.

Needless to say, his fans are some of the most loyal EDM fans out there. A third of the crowd was either wearing Don Diablo T-shirts or flags of his brand Hexagon. Going to concerts with people who actually know and love a DJ’s music is indescribably better than going to concerts with mainstream fans that just want to be at a hype event.
As sad as it was the set had to came to a close. A part of me knows that he'll be back soon, and I can’t wait for that moment to come so I can experience those Goosebumps all over again.
