Flume (Harley Edward Streten) is hands down Australia's most prominent EDM artist. Only Knife Party even comes close.
I normally don't like saying this, but Flume is one of those artists who you either love or hate. Most people absolutely LOVE. This aussie does everything to perfection and isn't afraid to push the boundaries when it comes to production.
It's pretty funny to see people try to classify his music. It ranges from genres such as electronica and future bass to wonky and trip hop. Well, whatever genre Flume is he certainly is amazing, and has the track record to show.
He consistently brings home silverware at Australian music awards and his album Skin won Best Dance/Electronic Album at the 2017 Grammy awards. I also forgot to mention that he's only 25!
Everyone knows his huge hits Never Gonna be Like You and Say It, but what less people are aware of is his knack for creating epic remixes. Try and tell me that these two remixes don't completely blow the original away.

1. Flume helped form the duo What So Not in 2011.
2. Flume originally went by HEDS (based on his initials of Harley Edward Streten) but decided to use Flume based off his favorite Bon Iver song.
3. Flume spent nearly a decade in his school band.
4. Flume first became interested in electronic music from a production kit that came with his Nutrigrain cereal when was 13.
5. Flume still lives with his parents in Sydney, Australia.
6. Flume has a room made specifically for Counterstrike marathons with his friends.
I've seen Flume live once and am beyond excited that I will be seeing him again this summer. His sets consist of almost only his own music and is more similar to theater than anything else. In recent years he's began touring all around the world and trust me when I say you'll want to see him if he's nearby!
